Change In Life
What were the last words that you spoke to someone in an effort to influence their actions? Think carefully was it the words that influenced them or the thoughts in their mind that your words generated that influenced? You cannot help but conjure up an image in your mind whenever you hear a word spoken or you read one, and that image is based on your life experiences. So words themselves are powerless it is the thoughts that the words generate that cause man to go to war and die for their country, that on the simplest level influence your very personality.
I do not know about you but if I look back on my childhood I was continually told, ‘do not do that’ or ‘you cannot do that’ by my parents and later by the teachers in the various schools I attended in the name of discipline. Very few children are taught how to think positive thoughts. It would seem that people are more interested in correcting what children do wrong rather than commending them for what they manage to do right.
I recall that this did not do a great deal for my self-confidence for mostly all time I was and to an extent still am faced with a situation my first thought tends to be ‘why I cannot do it’. It is really only when individuals are exposed to management consultancy, business leadership and team building that they have a change of attitude sometimes through leadership development programs.
When I look back I realise that I had what is termed a strong personality as a child, I always wanted to be the leader at sport and ended up as the head boy in my final year. I suppose even then I was kicking back at authority and trying to impose my personality on my life by trying to think positive about my life. For mostly all one of our positive children there are a thousand who who will always think of reasons why they cannot do a task. They carry this negative attitude into the adult life and fail to achieve most things in life. responding to the negative words fed to them as children they feel that life is passing them by.
So when they are told to change their attitude or to think positive thoughts – what is their immediate reaction?
‘I cannot do that!’
The mistake many people make is that they think that they have to change negative thoughts to change life. Maybe you also have been told, by a management consulting team, that to make progress you have to take your negative thoughts and change them to positive thoughts?
I have some good news for you if that is the case, maybe that is also what is holding you back in your self improvement.
It is not easy to change attitude and re-programme your thoughts because they are your thoughts and they have been established by a constant drip feed over the span of your whole life.
Another theory is that when you have a negative thought – immediately change thoughts change life. Well with no disrespect to the teachers of that particular theory, I would find it very difficult to change my thought process when my negative thought is paramount and preventing me from doing something.
So what can you do?
Have you taken a holiday lately, or had to plan an event, maybe even a team building event, that, even though you had done the same or similar events before, took a great deal of your thinking? Your mind was so filled with positive thoughts that you did not even consider being negative.
Planning the good events in life fills your mind with thoughts of happiness, perhaps laughter, when you are in that frame of mind there is no room for negativity.
That’s the answer to negative thoughts. Don’t try to change them, replace them.
At the start of each day look at what you have to do, even if you are in a mundane job doing the same thing mostly all day. Look at your day’s activity and remember something good about it and determine to duplicate that feeling that day.
Look back on your day and select the best thing that happened to you during it. It may be something your have done or said or something that has been done or said to you but find one thing. It does not have to be a leadership development program, I do not mind what it is and we all have something good that happens sometime in a day that lasts between 15 and 18 hours. Write it down.
In the future you can glance back at your diary and you will read all the good things that have happened in your life, and I guarantee that if you are feeling low at the time you will quickly feel on top of the world.

Change Your Life In 30 Days
I’m 23, and I think i’ve been posting a couple “emo” self loathing questions about job hunts and lack of a social life. But, I’m trying to keep hope alive about a possibility of changing that factor. The fact that I feel like a joke, partially because in the past I haven’t exercised fairly good judgment on my demeaner and attitude with some people– seems to have carried onto my current life and relationships with others. So, realizing that “this” is not working, I’m wondering, in 30 days how much can I really change? I’m not updated on current events, I don’t feel comfortable around most people, and am very half ass about my hobbies. The motivation to pursue the hobbies and do my best is very lacking due to the fact that I feel at the age of 23 I should have a job, or at least have been working and moving up in my field. if it’s possible to change your life significantly in 30 days, how would one go about doing that. Basically… One day or half day is enough to change the self, well whether you have observed it or not we change everyday, even the films we watch even we would replay this over and over again they would always mean something else. So yes in the span of 30 days if you choose to be someone different then that would happen.

I just wonder if a person is willing to change her/his mind. In this site I have read a lot of Q/A that states God doesn’t exist because there is no scientific evidence to prove it (though I personally believe there is plenty of evidence around us and science is not the only way of proving everything, especially those things related to faith). Since scientific knowledgement is not and absolute and static thing. . Every day new evidence is discovered and new theories are proved or refused. My question is how would you feel if in a couple of yr scientifical evidence of the existence of God is published and diffused?? (This question is for both, those whoever don’t believe right now and those whoever do) I believe in science and I also believe it doesn’t has to be necessarily opossite to faith. PD (Hope your answer will not be: “such thing will never happen”, that wouldn’t be rational, at this time almost everything could happen. ). Do you know what I found? Science and the Bible can work together. But also, people that shun creation have to notice this fact, there is as much proof for creation as evolution, being near none. Every cave man has been discredited, they have found human foot prints right along side dinosaur foot prints, and they have been recently finding out that the way our DNA is set up, we can’t evolve, it can’t be changed into another property, another being. Science at parts needs as much faith as God does. I believe God created the earth, I look down at my finger tips, each different than the rest, and each different from all other print on the planet, each snowflake unique from any other that ever fell, and all tree, each leaf on it having it’s own pattern unlike any other leaf. That can’t all be just chance to me, that to me, is a creator loving us so much, he made us unique so that we would see how special we are.
